BJP demands inquiry into fire mishap in train

Hyderabad, Aug 20 (UNI) BJP National Secretary Bandaru Dattatreya today demanded that the Union Government conduct a thorough inquiry into the fire in Chennai-Hyderabad express, in which five coaches were gutted today.

In a statement here, he said the inquiry should cover all angles, including any involvement of anti-social elements and extremists.

The Andhra Pradesh Government should also involve in the probe, he added.

Stating that the incident had created doubts on railway safety, he demanded that the Railway Ministry allocate more funds for safety and speed up introduction of fire proof coaches.
