BJP criticises non-issuance of PRCs in J
Jammu, Aug 20 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed serious concern that the state government, for the last more than three months, has not been isuing the state subjects Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC).
General secretary of BJP trade wing Sunil Dimple, in a statement said the Revenue Department, District Development Office, Jammu and some other offices includng the Divisional Commissioners' Offices of other districts are not making the PRCs.
He asked Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to look into the matter and simplify the procedure for issuance of PRCs and restore the powers to the officers in Jammu region to issue the certificate which has been withdrawn.
He urged the government to look immediately into the matter and sort out the problems faced by the masses and people of the different districts of Jammu region.
