Attacks kill at least 15 pilgrims in Iraq-ministry

BAGHDAD, Aug 20 (Reuters) Attacks in Baghdad against pilgrims gathering for a major Shi'ite religious event today killed at least 15 and wounded more than 200, the Iraqi Health Ministry said.

''Most of the attacks are taking place when pilgrims are crossing the neighbouring areas into Kadhimiya,'' said spokesman Qasim Yahya Allawi. He was referring to the location of an sacred shrine in north Baghdad where hundreds of thousands of pilgrims have gathered.
