'AP CM releases 'Chetana'

Hyderabad, Aug 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy released 'Chetana,' a Telugu monthly journal here today. Speaking on the occasion, he said the journals should play a positive role in democracy by spreading socio-economic, political awareness and inspiring the people.

He said Chetana should cover articles on different aspects of the society to bring greater social awarness to uphold the noble values cherished from time immemorial in the country.

Pradesh Congress Committee President K Keshava Rao said Chetana should give wider publicity and knowledge about the Congress principles and its programmes and promote service attitude.

Former APCC General Secretary and Editor and Publisher of Chetana Talasila Venkataramayya said the journal with 63 pages covers many photographs relevant to the subjects. The journal would carry socio-economic, political, cultural and spiritual articles in depth besides other articles.
