Absconding convict nabbed in TN
Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu Aug 20 (UNI) Police today nabbed a convict in a cheating case, who was absconding for three years here.
Police said Rajendran(48), a former AIADMK branch secretary, who hails from Kilia near Uttharamerur here had deceived one Sundarraj with a false assurance that he would get him loan from the bank and took Rs four lakh from him.
When Rajendran failed to fulfil his promise, Sundarraj lodged a complaint with the police.
A case had been filed and Rajendran was arrested. He was released on bail, but when he failed to reappear in Court, a Warrant was issued against.
A team led by Inspector Rajkumar nabbed Rajendran from his hideout, police added.
