Tributes to former President Shankar Dayal Sharma

New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) The nation remembered former President Shankar Dayal Sharma on his 88th birth anniversary today.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi were among those who paid tributes and participated in a prayer meeting at his 'samadhi' at Karma Bhoomi here.

Dr Sharma was President from 1992 to 1997.
