Student died of consuming chemical

Vellore, Aug 19 (UNI) A 24-year-old student of a private teacher training school died here after mistakingly consuming a chemical at her school lab at Kuruvarajapalayam last night.

Police sources said the victim Vimala and her colleagues were having lunch in the laboratory of their school and meanwhile she mistakingly consumed a chemical, Famalin for water.

She was admitted to Christian Medical College hospital here, where she died, police added.
