State Govt sanctions Rs 2 cr flood relief assistance to KMC

Kolhapur, Aug 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Government has sanctioned Rs two crore to the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) as flood relief assistance to undertake road repairs and other important works.

KMC commissioner Kunal Kumar told reporters here today that the amount will be spent on a priority basis on road repairs and drainage works that were badly damaged in the rains.

KMC had requested the State Government to sanction Rs 35 crore and the sanctioned amount is part of the package demand.
