State BJP asks Centre's stand on joint management of JK

Jammu, Aug 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nirmal Singh today asked the Centre to clarify its stance on Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf's suggestion for joint management of the state.

Talking to UNI over phone Dr Singh said, ''Our party would oppose, tooth and nail, all such ideas which give any power, whatsoever, to Pakistan to tinker with our sovereignty or interfere in the internal affairs of the state.'' ''A clarification on the joint management of J&K is a must from centre, particularly from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Would our country associate with Pakistan for the management of affairs of the state, '' asked Dr singh.

He also urged the UPA government to call Pakistans ''bluff'' and initiate action to reintegrate PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan with this part of the state.
