Saran grabs pole in Formula LGB swift category

Coimbatore, Aug 19 (UNI) Saran Vikram took pole positions in the qualifiers for race one and race two in the Formula LGB Swift category in the JK Tyres National Racing Championship today.

Saran Vikram had the fastest lap timings of 01:12:706 and 01:12:610 respectively.

The qualifying races for the Formula LGB Hyundai class will be held tomorrow morning as the drivers have asked for more practice time.

The new racing machines Formula LGB Hyundai and Formula LGB Swift were the cynosure of all eyes today as the qualifying races of the first round of the championship that got underway at the Kari Motor Speedway.

The races for the premium category Formula Rolon have been postponed as the wheel rims consignment, which had been shipped from UK, did not arrive in time, thereby not giving enough time for testing the high speed racing cars.
