POA criticises maoists for killing police personnel

Hyderabad, Aug 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Police Officers ssociaton (POA) today criticised the Maoists groups for killing the unarmed police personnel.

The State Association President V Anatharamulu and General Secretary K V Ramakrishna Reddy condemned the attack on Atmakur police station in Nalgonda District last night where three unarmed police personnel including one Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector and Constable were killed by maoists. The three police personnel were tied to trees and shot, they alleged.

They said the maoists were indiscriminately killing innocent people and police personnel and indulging in all sorts of illegal activities. People should condemn such brutal attacks on police personnel, they added.
