Man poisons family, kills self

Samastipur, Aug 19 (UNI) A man poisoned his family to death and later committed suicide at Banbaripur village under Halai outpost last night, police said today.

Police said Dinesh Rai poisoned his wife Manita Devi, two daughters--Kiran and Choti--and son Deepak Kumar and also swallowed the poison himself while on way back to his home from his in-laws house in Jandaha.

The bodies have been sent for autopsy.

The reason behind the incident is not known, police said.
