Kid dies after falling in water filled drain

Kolkata, Aug 19 (UNI) A minor boy walking along with his mother slipped into a water filled drain and drowned in broad daylight during rush hour at Jessore road today.

The mishap occurred in front of a cinema hall at Dum Dum area, north of here, when the boy fell into the drain and vanished.

After local people failed to trace him, the firemen were called.

But by then it was too late and they brought out the child's body.
