Hearing on Bhujbal, Ashok Chavan's role in stamp case on Sept 12

Pune, Aug 19 (UNI) The Special MCOCA Court today fixed September 12, for hearing on the applications of former Samajwadi Party MLA from Dhule, Anil Gote alleging the involvement of former deputy chief minister and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal and former revenue minister and Congress leader Ashok Chavan's role in the stamps scam.

Gote asked Special Judge Chitra Bhedi to note that ''listeners have been put inside while the takers are moving freely outside.'' Gote further informed the court that he had clinching evidence that Bhujbal was involved but nobody had paid attention to his applications. The court asked for the papers and fixed September 12 for the hearing.

Similarly, Gote also brought to the Court's notice that no hearing was given, to his application stating that former revenue minister Ashok Chavan had received Rs 10 lakh from the prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi. The Court also fixed September 12 for the hearing in the matter.

Meanwhile, Gote alleged the involvement of many other prominent personalities including Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and NCP leader Sharad Pawar.

He further alleged that Public Prosecutor Raja Thackeray had received ''supari'' to disgrace the present government by managing to leak three CD's to the media when there was no specific High Court order for the same to be handed to the accused.

The court proceedings were carried through video conferencing.
