Govt will generate more employment opportunities: Reddy
Tirupati, Aug 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the government was aiming to generate employment to two lakh people within two years.
Addressing the gathering after laying the foundation stone for a women's engineering college at Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidayalam (SPMVV) here, he said the government had provided nearly 65,000 job opportunities to the people and would provide more within two years.
He said the government would soon set up an IT park in the temple town to create more job opportunities.
SPMVV Vice-Chancellor Veena Nobel Dass said the proposed college was estimated to cost Rs seven crore. It would offer courses in four branches- Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Bio-technology and Computer Science.
