Emergency fund limit increased to Rs 800 cr
Mumbai, Aug 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna has today issued the ordinance increasing the limit of emergency fund from Rs 150 crore to Rs 800 crore in view of floods, rains and for providing package to farmers of Vidarbha.
An official release issued here said that Rs 300 crore was required immediately for the compensation to the flood affected people while Rs 350 crore was required for the package announced by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the farmers of Vidarbha.
In order to fulfill these two needs the limit of emergency fund has been increased to Rs 800 crore UNI JM MJ MSJ BST2003
