DMET test cancelled, fresh examination to be held

Bhopal, Aug 19 (UNI) A decision to conduct the Dental and Medical Entrance Test (DMET) afresh for admission into Madhya Pradesh's private colleges was taken today in the wake of complaints of alleged malpractice in the DMET test held on August 13.

The five-member Justice Chandra Bhushan Committee -- formed to monitor DMET-linked cases -- took the decision with three members favouring cancellation of the August 13 test, while one member was not present.

Justice Bhushan was the lone member who did not favour cancellation on the ground that there was not enough evidence that irregulaities took place.
