Banks offer help to flood-hit areas

Kakinada, Aug 19 (UNI) The banks would come forward to help people in the flood-affected areas, Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director K Ramakrishnan said here today.

Distributing the relief kits during the photo exhibition, he said Andhra Bank, Reserve Bank and other banks representatives were asked to tour ten districts and assess the damages before August 22 and submit a report.

He said loan to the tune of Rs 9.91 crore would be disbursed, as soon as the list was submitted.
