23 injured in accident

Vellore, Aug 19 (UNI) About 23 people were injured when a tractor in which they were travelling hit a Karnataka State Government bus near Ranipet near here today.

Police sources said the people on the tractor, hailing from Naickenpalayam village, were on way to their village after attending a function at a near by temple, when the mishap occurred.

All the injured were rushed to near by hospital.

After giving first aid treatment, two of them were admitted to Government Hospital Walajha and seven others to Government Head Quarters Hospital here, police added.
