Venus Remedies bags DCGI approval for launch of R

New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) Venus Remedies Ltd today said the Drug Controller General of India has granted approval to the company for the launch of its research and development product, third Fixed Dose Combination Drug of Cephalosporin with an Amino-glycoside.

This new FDC will be marketed under tie-ups with leading Indian pharma companies, in the Rs 400 crore domestic market and is expected to gain a substantial share in the market within the very first year of its launch.

The company's plans to take this product to the international market are also being pursued aggressively, a company statement said.

The commercial launch of this product shall help the patients across India to recover fast with this sure shot remedy for Hospital acquired Pneumonia (HAP), which has acquired alarming proportions through out the world, and the treatment time shall also be reduced to almost 50 per cent what it is at present, the statement added.

The company has already filed Patent applications for worldwide protection of its Patent rights.
