ISKCON to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmastami

Hyderabad, Aug 14 (UNI) The International Society for Krishna Consciousness(ISKCON) will celebrate the Sri Krishna Janmastami festival here on a grand scale from tomorrow.

ISKCON Hyderabad branch President Vedanta Chaitanya Dasa, talking to reporters today, said various cultural events, special pujas and other programmes would be conducted during the three-day celebrations, to mark the 30th anniversary of ISKCON temple here.

He said 48 hours Maha Mantara Yagna, Sri Krishna Maha Mela, Mass free prasadam distribution, Non-stop darshanam of the lord, special sevas and Maha Abhishekam of the deities would be conducted as part of special events.

As Janmastami falls on August 16, Vyasa Seva would be conducted on that day, the 'appearance' day(Birthday) of ISKCON founder A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, he added.
