Congress demands dismissal of Energy Minister
Patna, Aug 14 (UNI) The Bihar Congress today demanded sacking of Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav as he had been declared 'absconder' by a court.
A delegation of Congress leaders, under the leadership of chief spokesman Prem Chandra Mishra, called on Governor R S Gavi and urged him to ensure removal of the minister from the Bihar cabinet.
Mr Mishra also demanded sacking of Sugarcane Minister Nitish Mishra as he was holding a post of profit. The governor's attention was also drawn towards the alleged link of state JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh with a gangster and the party urged him to ensure action against him, he added.
The energy minister was declared an absconder by a local court in connection with a case filed by an employee of Bihar Hydro Power Corporation.
