Uproar in House; Oppn stages roadroko
Channai, Aug 12 (UNI) Pandemonium broke out in the Tamil Nadu Assembly leading to the en masse eviction of the Opposition AIADMK members who staged a roadroko in front of the Secretariat here today.
Trouble arose, when an AIADMK member and a Minister exchanged abusive words against each other leading to chaos and uproar in the House.
As the members of the Opposition and the Treasury Benches made angry gesticulations against each other and manacingly advanced towards the Speaker's podium, Speaker R Avudaiyappan ordered the eviction from the Hall.
While the marshals were evicting the AIADMK members, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi appealed to the Chair to reconsider the decision and allow the AIADMK members to take part in the House procedure.
The Speaker, immediately appealed to the members to stay back in the House, but the agitated members left the House and walked down to block the traffic on the busy Kamaraj Salai Road, in front of the Secretariat.
