Security tightened at religious places in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Aug 12 (UNI) Security has been beefed up at all religious places here in the run-up to the Independence Day after the US and the UK issued travel advisories asking their citizens to be vigilant while visiting India.
State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria told UNI today police superintendents in each district have been issued special instructions to be vigilant. They have also been instructed to deploy additional personnel at vital places of worship including Nathdwara, Pushkar, Dargah Sharif at Ajmer and others.
Director General of Police A S Gill said all possible precautionary measures were being taken to ensure peaceful celebration of the Independence day.
Security at the airport has been tightened.
