"Little Drops":project for realisation of Kalam's dream

Chennai, Aug 12 (UNI) Paving way for the realisation of President APJ Abdul Kalam's '' Vision 2020-Health for all'', Golden Jubilee Stanlians Charitable Trust and PRHUB Integrated Marketing Communication Private Limited have jointly launched a unique project ''Little Drops'' for children.

Unveiling the 'Little Drops' website www.littledrops.in, to mark the formal inception of the project here at a function, Padma Bushan awardee and renowned Gastroenterology Surgeon Dr N Rangabashyam said as India makes rapid strides in the economic arena, the key question was when it would become a truly developed nation on the social and health front.

He said hygiene in all its facets and format plays a key role in preventive healthcare, which was extremely relevant to a nation like India with significant percentage of people Below Poverty Line.

Golden Jubilee Stanlians Charitable Trust Secretary Dr Rabindranath said ''Little Drops'' will partner some of Chennai's leading schools to engage teachers and children alike in the campaign.

The thrust areas of the project initially would be personal, social and environmental hygiene.
