Krishna, Bhima flowing above danger mark, Godavari below
Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) Posing a grim picture, the water level is above the danger mark in Bhima and Krishna rivers in Pandharpur and Sangli districts, respectively, according to sources.
In Pandharpur, the danger level is 445.40 m, but the Bhima river is flowing at 448.2 m height, while Krishna river's danger mark is at 540.77 m and is currently flowing at 541.90 m.
According to control room at Mantralaya, though the water level is above the danger mark in these two places, it is stagnant for the last two days and the situation is under control.
Meanwhile, Godavari river is flowing below the danger mark at Nanded at a height of 351 m, where the danger mark is 354 m.
Sources said there was no increase in the death toll, which was 255 till yesterday.
Meanwhile, the city today experienced intermittent rainfall and the same is expected to continue tomorrow also.
