JVV conducts signature campaign against cola
Tirupati, Aug 12 (UNI) The Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) has conducted signature campaign against cola drinks, as a part of creating awareness among the students about harmful effects of the soft drinks, here today.
The JVV leaders and its activists have called on the students in the town and explained that the dangerous soft drinks contained harmful pesticides residue in the cola and such related company drinks. The Supreme Court already issued notice to cola major to disclose the contents in the drinks.
The JVV leaders had taken signatures from the students to ban such harmful drinks. Later, JVV District Secretary K Gopala Krishna said the signature campaign against the drinks would be brought among the public in phased manner. He also demanded the government to ban the drinks immediately in the state.
The people should prefer natural drinks instead of such harmful drinks, he said.
In the campaign, a large number of students from various colleges including Agriculture College and Padmavathi Women's Degree College participated.
