ICL to discuss developmental issues of Jharkhand

Ranchi, Aug 12 (UNI) The youth wing of Indian Confederation of Labour (ICL) will take up issues of displaced people due to growth of industries, migration and pending panchayat election in Jharkhand in a workshop in Delhi to be held on August 16.

National convener of ICL Ajay Rai today said that its national president Ashok Bhattacharya and general secretary C.S.Mehrat with the representatives of 17 districts would participate in the workshop.

Mr Rai said the state government signing MOU's without making any specific policy for the displaced people adding the industrialists and investors were in confusion and looking towards other options.

He said youths of Jharkhand were migrating to other states in search of employment.

On the issue of panchayat election Mr Rai said the Chief Minister Arjun Munda had failed to hold the polls in state.

He said a memorandum with the demands of intervening in those matter would be submitted to prime minister after the workshop.
