Excess rainfall in 10 districts of MP
Bhopal, Aug 12 (UNI) With monsoon active across Madhya Pradesh, 10 of the 48 districts in the state received excess rainfall while 23 had normal rainfall this season.
Fifteen districts were lashed by rainfall less than average, but the Agriculture department said today.
Ujjain, Mandsaur, Badwani, Jhabua, Khargone, Neemuch, Ashok Nagar and Dhar in western part and Sidhi and Anuppur districts in eastern part received above normal rainfall.
The districts receiving normal rainfall include Rewa, Shahdol, Umaria, Jabalpur, Seroni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Sagar, Bhopal, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Sehore, Betul, Hoshangabad, Gwalior, Guna, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, Indore, Khandwa and Burhanpur.
Rainfall less than normal was recorded in Chhindwara, Panna, Tikamgarh, Raisen, Harda, Shivpuri, Morena, Sheopurkalan, Katni, Bhind, Satna, Chhatarpur, Narsinghpur, Damoh and Datia districts.
