Congress destroying ethos of secularism: Joshi
Hyderabad, Aug 12 (UNI) Stating 'secularism in India existed only because of Hindu religion,' BJP Leader Murli Manohar Joshi today alleged the Congress had 'destroyed the ethos of secularism in the country by encouraging conversions.' Alleging AICC President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi had opposed the enactment of 'anti-conversion' laws, Mr Joshi told newsmen that 'anti-Hindu activities would be a threat to the community in future.' Referring to reports on conversions at Tirumala, he alleged the ruling the Congress Government in the state was promoting such activities by appointing employees belonging to the religion in Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD).
