College students protest BHU fee hike by begging alms
Varanasi, Aug 12 (UNI) College students from Harish Chandra P G College here today protested the fee hike Banaras Hindu University (BHU) by begging alms for the Vice-Chancellor of the central varsity.
''The students acted as beggars to beg alms for satiating the lust of the BHU VC for money, exhibited best by the five fold fee hike announced recently in the varsity, despite being provided by crores of rupees in central grant annually,'' Ravikant Vishwakarma leading the protest at the Dwashashamedh Ghat said.
The student leader cautioned if the fee hike was not rolled back by BHU administration soon, college students will launch a massive movement.
