Bus mishap kills six in Bengal
Malda, Aug 12 (UNI) Six people were killed and many injured in two separate bus accidents in north Bengal today, police said.
A maxi-taxi carrying over 50 commuters hit a roadside tree on Manickchak highway at English bazar in Malda, while trying to overtake another vehicle killing two occupants on the spot this afternoon. Thirtyeight others were hospitalised, out of which three of them died later.
The dead include the driver and helper.
Of the injured, who got admitted to Malda Sadar hospital, nine of them were in critical condition.
In Jalpaiguri district one people was killed in a bus-truck collision.
