B K Handique hospitalised

Guwahati, Aug 12 (UNI) Union Minister for Fertilizer and Chemicals B K Handique was hospitalised early today after he complained of nausea, vomiting and related problems.

Mr Handique attended a press conference last evening following a marathon meeting with regard to the proposed gas cracker project.

He complained of uneasiness late in the evening and shortly after midnight was admitted to the Guwahati Medical College(GMC) hospital.

He has been diagnosed with gastro-related problems and his condition was stated to be 'stable and not serious'.

''He should recover by tonight,'' his office said.
