Air Deccan launches two new flights to Imphal, Agartala

Kolkata, Aug 12 (UNI) Air Deccan has introduced two new flights connecting Kolkata to Imphal and Agartala.

Moving to places like Imphal(via Guwahati) and Agartala is pretty difficult and it doubles up during winter season due to spine-chilling cold weather.

Air Deccan Managing Director Captain Gopinath, in a statement, said the key to economic growth and success lies in the frequency of air connectivity and hence Air Deccan has taken this initiative to convert these places into a developed economy by providing more number of economic flights.

Surrounded by hills from all sides, the best way to reach these land locked areas is by air as there are few trains connecting the regions and travelling by roads could be long, tiring and a fearful venture, he said.

He further added they are commited to penetrate into the unconnected smaller towns through accessible and affordable air travel.

The bookings for the winter schedule would open from August 13 for the travel period from October 30 to January 31. The details of the tickets, reservation and lowest fares are available on the website- www.airdeccan.net, he stated.

The low cost airline covers 55 airports and ply 265 flights carrying 5.8 million passengers every day, he concluded.
