Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia to suicide hit family

Varanasi, Aug 11 (UNI) The district administration here today announced Rs four lakh ex-gratia to the widow of an indebted farmer, who on Wednesday killed his two minor children before committing suicide in Chahi village.

DM Rajiv Agrawal visited Chahi village and announced the ex-gratia to Arti -- the widow of Chote Lal, who had poisoned self and two children, Kaushalya (11) and Dayalu (7).

The DM also announced a relief of Rs 25,000 under the Indira Awas Yojna to Arti and her only living son Tulsi (8).

Mr Agrawal also directed CMO A P Singh to ensure best medical care for Arti and Tulsi. He said process was on to provide widow pension to Arti.
