PM arrives in Hyderabad for aerial survey of flood hit areas
Hyderabad, Aug 11 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today arrived here for an aerial survey of flood affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The Prime Minister was received at the Begumpet Airport by Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameswar Thakur, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and other officials.
Dr Singh immediately left for an aerial survey of the flooded areas of Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh and Nanded in Maharashtra in an IAF helicopter.
Meanwhile, the State government had rescheduled today's business because of the change of Prime Minister's agenda.
The State Cabinet would shortly to submit a tentative report on the flood damage to the Prime Minister, who would be returning back to Hyderabad by 1530 hrs.
Dr Singh would hold a review meeting with the Chief Minister Dr Reddy, his cabinet colleagues and top government officials before leaving for Delhi.
