Patil exhorts people not to celebrate his birthday on Aug 16

Mumbai, Aug 11 (UNI) Maharashtra deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, whose birthday is on August 16, today urged the people not to celebrate the same against the backdrop of the recent bomb blasts and floods in the state.

In a release issued here, Mr Patil said that considering the gravity of the situation in the state, no programme to celebrate his birthday should be organised.
