Militants kill 3 of Hindu family in Ramban

Jammu, Aug 11: Terrorists from an unknown outfit killed three members of a Hindu family in Rambam police district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, official sources said here today.

Militants entered the house of one Ram Singh in Hara village in Gool tehsil under Ramban police distrct and killed his wife, daughter and son, sources said. Ram Singh was not at home when the incident took place at 22 hrs last night.

The victims were identified as Sumitra Devi (40), Meena Devi Singh (14) and Neelam Singh (10).

No militant group has claimed responsibility for the killings.

The atmosphere is very tense in the area. Extra security personnel have been deployed.

Senior administrative and police officials have rushed to the site. The police have started investigations but no arrests have been made so far.
