LeT terrorists sent to police custody till Aug 20
New Delhi, Aug 11: A local court today remanded two Lashkar- e-Toiba (LeT) militants, arrested here last night, to police custody till August 20.
Metropolitan Magistrate Nirja Bhatia remanded Abu Anas, a resident of Islamabad in Pakistan and Abrar Ahmad, who hails from Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, to ten-day custody.
They were arrested while they were getting into an autorickshaw at the New Delhi railway station at 2200 hrs.
Both, in their thirties, had come from Jammu and Kashmir and were specifically assigned to target Independence Day celebrations, he added.
''Approximately two kg of RDX and five detonators were recovered from their possession. The two had got down from Platform No eight on the Ajmeri gate side and were getting into an autorickshaw when they were nabbed by the Special Cell sleuths,'' police said.
