Indo-Pak border officials to meet in Jodhpur
Jaisalmer, Aug 11: The high-level bilateral meeting of border security officials of India and Pakistan will take place in Jodhpur next month.
According to Border Security Forces sources, the meeting between officials of the inspector-general level will be held in the third week of September.
The meeting is held at different official levels twice a year to solve the border disputes amicably between India and Pakistan.
It will also take up issues of fencing on Jammu borders, infiltration at the borders, narcotic smuggling and increasing facilities at the borders.
There are chances that the officials from Pakistan will take the Khokrapar-Munabao route to reach Jodhpur.
The director-general of Sindh range in Pakistan, Punjab range, wing-commander level officials, Survey of Pakistan and Narcotic Control Bureau officials will be present at the meet.
Inspector-generals from Border Security Force, Rajasthan Frontier, Gujarat frontier, Jammu frontier, Punjab frontier and IG from New Delhi will attend from Indian side apart from other officials.
