New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today directed the government-aided Raisina Bengali School to take back the daughter of a class-IV employee of a private firm, who was denied admission in standard-I as he could not pay a hefty donation.

When the matter came up for hearing, Justice Anil Kumar expressed his anguish and directed the school authorities to admit the child immediately before making any submission before the court.

Sonali Shikari, the daughter of Shantanu Shikari, had studied nursery class in the school during the session 2005-06 and on March 30, 2006, she was promoted to class-I, said the petition filed by Counsel Namita Roy.

The court also issued notices to Director of Directorate of Education, Delhi Government, Principal Raisina Bengali School, Raisina Bengali School Society to file their replies to the allegations.
