Water-filled LPG cylinders reported

New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) Public sector Oil Marketing Companies have reported five cases of water filled cylinders to consumers by the LPG distributors of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC)during the last six months in Delhi, the government informed the Lok Sabha today.

The LPG distributors are Sona Enterprises, Sindhu Enterprises, Jayant Gas, Karol Bagh Gas, Sai Sewa Enterprises, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dinsha Patel said in a written answer.

The Minister said the IOC had reported that in four out of these five cases, the cylinders were found to be partially containing water and were replaced free of cost by the respective distributors. In one case, the customer did not offer the cylinder for investigation.

The IOC has reported that a committee has been constituted for a detailed investigation into the matter.
