SW monsoon active in WB and Rajasthan

Pune, Aug 10 (UNI) The South West monsoon has been active over Gangetic West Bengal, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra.

It has been subdued over East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, North Madhya Maharashtra and Kerala. Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gujarat region, coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in South Madhya Maharashtra and Lakashadweep and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Saurashtra and Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, West Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, South interior Karnataka and at isolated places in North interior karnataka.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in West Madhya Pradesh and many places in Madhya Maharashtra.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Vidarbha and Marathwada.
