Sugar prices eases on thin buying support

Navi Mumbai, Aug 10 (UNI) Spot wholesale sugar prices eased on thin buying support, traders at the sugar market said here today .

Prices of small and medium grades declined by Rs eight and Rs seven per quintal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure.

Prices of ex-mill small grade fell by Rs five per quintal on increase offers by stockists while medium grades remained steady on moderate demand.

Following were the spot sugar wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,851/1,885, Medium grade: Rs 1,873/1,933.

Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,825/1,860, Medium grade: Rs 1,855/1,990.
