Srinagar court stays JKCA working committee order
Srinagar, Aug 10 (UNI) A local court has stayed the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association's order to suspend its General Secretary Saleem Khan at the JKCA's working committee meeting on July 18.
The committee had suspended Khan and another member G M Runga for their anti-association activities.
The decision was taken at the meeting presided over by JKCA chairman Mehboob Iqbal in the absence of association president Farooq Abdullah, who was away in England at that time.
Khan and Runga later challenged the authority and legality of the convening of the working committee meeting.
After hearing the arguments, the second Additional District Judge, Srinagar stayed the order and the decisions taken by the working committee.
