SPO arrested for involvement in massacre of four persons in J
Jammu, Aug 10 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested a Special Police Officer (SPO) for his alleged involvement in the massacre of two girls and two boys, belonging to the Hindu community, in Poonch district.
Mohammad Yunus, son of Abdul Lateef, a resident of Mangnar and posted in the same village as an SPO, was arrested by Poonch police for his involvement in the killing on the intervening night of July 12-13.
Official sources said the Yunus has confessed his involvement in the killings along with four militants of Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) of Kasbrari, Poonch. The other militants are untracable and efforts are on to apprehend them.
Yunus has also admitted he was working for Lashkar even after his appointment as SPO and added he had been sharing crucial information with LeT's Abu Wahid group.
Two sisters, Priyanka Sharma and Meenakshi Sharma, daughters of Mangat Ram Sharma and two brothers Ashok Kumar and Pankaj Kumar were killed by the militants.
