Sobha John moves HC for early posting of plea

Kochi, Aug 10 (UNI) The main accused in the Sabarimala tantri Kandararu Mohanararu attack case Sobha John today filed a petition before the High Court asking for early posting of the revision petition filed by the state to cancel the bail granted to her by the lower court.

Meanwhile, second accused in the case Vigil filed a bail application before the Ernakulam Sessions Court.

The court will consider this petition tomorrow.

The High Court had yesterday stayed the order of the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) granting conditional bail to Sobha John, who had been described by police as a key link in an alleged sex racket in Kochi city.

Police moved the High Court for the cancellation of bail on the ground that key suspects were still at large and material property allegedly robbed from the tantri were yet to be seized.
