Security in all TN airports reinforced

Chennai, Aug 10 (UNI) Security has been tightened in all airports in Tamil Nadu in the wake of British police foiling a terror plot to blow up US-bound aircraft in mid-flight.

Airport sources said security had been stepped up in the Chennai airport following a directive from the Airports Authority of India.

Entry of visitors has been banned.

Hand baggage of passengers were subjected to intensive checks.

The authorities are planning to reintroduce step-ladder checks.
