Sadbhav Engineering bags Rs 560 crore road contract from AUDA
Mumbai, Aug 10 (UNI) Sadbhav Engineering Ltd-led consortium has bagged a Rs 560 crore road construction project to improve and widening the Sardar Patel Ring Road having a total radial length of 76 kilometres.
Announcing this, the company said ''this is Gujarat's biggest project so far to be executed under the build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis around the Ahmedabad city.'' The contract from Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) placed on Tuesday last stipulates that the construction is to be completed within 18 months including a new bridge over Sabarmati river near Bhat village, said a company release.
The consortium will convert the existing two-lane road around Ahmedabad city into a four-lane road, which will serve as a key corridor connecting Ahmedabad with Delhi, Mumbai on one side and Saurashtra on the other, it added.
