Ranbaxy Laboratories to sell Ireland unit
New Delhi, Aug 10: Ranbaxy Laboratories today said it will sell Ranbaxy Ireland Ltd's manufacturing facility in Ireland, as a going concern.
''Following the recent acquisition of Terapia in Romania, there are significant efficiencies to be gained from consolidating the company's European manufacturing operation in Romania. Consequently, the company has decided to divest the manufacturing facility of Ranbaxy Ireland Ltd located in Cashel, Ireland, as a going concern,'' a company statement said.
Last month the pharma major acquired the Mundogen generic business of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), in Spain, through Ranbaxy's Spanish subsidiary, Laboratorios Ranbaxy S L.
